Publicist - Contract
Reports into: Senior Account Manager
Location: Remote (Reporting to Australia)
Period: January to June 2025
Time Commitment: Flexible Part-Time (avg. 50 hours per month)
Key Client: Fellow Traveller Games
If you’re passionate about indie narrative games and love writing about them, we need you!
Double Jump Communications is a video game and technology focused marketing agency based in Australia. Our clients include some of the world's biggest gaming and tech brands including 2K, Bungie, Epic Games, Fellow Traveller, Square Enix, Hasbro and Hyper X.
Our mission is to help brands create stories, experiences and communities that gamers love. And we are searching for a creative publicist that wants to join this mission. Working solely on our indie publisher sister company, Fellow Traveller, you’ll be focused on creating press materials and pitching to global media to ensure they are across their upcoming releases and excited to cover them for their readers.
The successful candidate will be someone with experience as either a journalist writing about indie games or a PR promoting indie games. And as Fellow Traveller is focused on helping push games forwards as a storytelling medium, having experience playing indie narrative games is a plus.
This is a six month part-time contractor role from January to June 2025 which may extend if it's required.
Everyone at both Double Jump and Fellow Traveller are remote based, and the role is open to any location. However, as you’ll be reporting into a Senior Account Manager based on the East Coast of Australia, you would ideally have a few hours of overlap with business hours and/or the flexibility to work hours with some overlap.
We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all.
So if you’re passionate about indie narrative games, love coming up with creative ways to pitch them and have the network to cover them, we’d love to hear from you.
